THE PLOT:
In 1987 strange aquatic creatures caused the deaths of 17 people for unknown motives. Local Government wrote them off as
shark attacks but there was an eye witness, a man who claimed to see the creature. The creature he calls an Aquanoid.
Sixteen years later the Aquanoids return and start a new wave of terror on the people of Babylon Bay, Venessa is out to
prove these things exist and stop them once and for all. But the corupt Mayor only cares about the million dollar mall project
and will kill to keep this dirty laundry from airing.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Okay aside the video was pretty bad a number of other things is way wrong with this undersea Turkey. One, it's a complete
rip off of other sea going monster movies, the creature design is almost total rip off of WAR-LORDS FROM THE DEEP, the basic
premise is a rip of CREATURE OF THE BLACK LAGOON and near the end the creature changes his pattern and raps the Mayor's daughter,
that's HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP. Another thing that made no sense is why? Why did the Aquanoids stop for 16 years? Another
thing is the Mayor, a corrupt Mayor wouldn't be running around shooting people, that's what Thugs are for. Plus, they kill
the Aquanoids and the Mayor tries to kill them anyway, HELLO! The evidence went boom into a billion pieces, there was no need
for that. Plus when the Deputy kills the Mayor saving Venessa's life, he's arrested. He's a deputy, the Mayor had a gun, he
had the right to do it. This is just stupid and a waste of time! Don't bother, I give it the NOOSE!
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I totally agree with Zedd on this, to make things worse. The whole cover up thing is a rip off of CARNOSAUR. Also, the underwater
scenes were just piss poor. They used snorkals and stayed close to the surface for the most part. Hello, they couldn't afford
to rent more then 1 tank? This is just God awful and anyone and I mean anyone who likes this dung pile should have his or
hers head examined. I've seen better film floating in a sewer. I too give this crapper the NOOSE!
ON THE POSTIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ NOTHING (We normally like pointing out one good point, but it's impossible for Crappernoids.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE(- MISSES):
- TOTAL RIP-OFF OF BETTER MOVIES (Instead of this ****ball, try WAR-LORDS FROM THE DEEP, CREATURE OF THE BLACK LAGOON and
HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP.)
- ACTING (I've seen better school plays.)
- FILM QUALITY (Very cheap.)
- MONSTER (Besides being a cheap knock-off of a better movie, the mouth doesn't open and close.)
- WHY (Why did the monsters kill? They didn't eat? Why? Why stop for 16 years and suddenly start again.)
- MAYORS DON'T KILL (They hire Assassins to do that.)
- WHAT IS AN AQUANOID (Is it a mutation? An Alien? WHAT!?)
- UNREALISTIC (This has got to be the most unrealistic movie of the 21st century and it'll be a long time before a stupider
movie rears his ugly head.)
AND FINALLY...
- CLIMAX (Even though all the evidence went boom, the Mayor tries to kill them anyway. When the Deputy uses the only weapon
at his disposal to stop the crazed killer, he's arrested. Hello, the bullets in the Mayor's gun should match the bullet he
used to kill the M.E.! Read a bloody book or watch CSI!)
