THE PLOT:
Thousands of years before the invention of technology, when the world was still violent and savage, a kingdom called Metropoilis
was thousands of years ahead of everyone. But do they use this for peace, no, they use it for war.
A embysary with a message of peace arrives at the boarders of Metropolis and was met with a violent death, all except
Obro who for some reason survived the visious attack and continued on his own. The leader has a deranged plot to place the
spirit of his Father into the body of his son to help him invent more weapons so he can rule the world, unless Obro can stop
him.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
I like the strong man movie concept, good versus evil. Kicking butt, that kind of thing. But the Giant of Metropolis has
to be the worst ever, yes even worse then the GEORGE REEVES Hercules movies. It's that bad. The only reason I wanted to
watch and review this is the title, GIANT OF METROPOLIS, I thought it was going to be kind of giant statue monster thing.
If I knew the "giant" the title was refering to was Gordon Mitchell believe me I wouldn't have bothered. Why they
couldn't save the original soundtrack instead of dubbing back in english is beyond me. The voice over actors was terrible,
it sounded like they were reading a script, the effects were awful, even for 1961. When you think Italian cheese, think THE
GIANT OF METROPLOS. If I were you I would avoid this one, you should thank me, I watch bad movies so you don't have too.
I give this body order of a movie, THE NOOSE!
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
"Giant" Of Metropolis? More like Turkey of Metropolis, I was never more disappointed by a title, and I've been
disappointed by titles before, like "Naked" Lunch. Which is another review. Our big strong hero was muscle bound,
he didn't know how to fight, he's captured more often then I can count then needs help to escape. I mean, what a wuss. I
too give this mega italian cheesy turkey the NOOSE!
