THE PLOT:
The Waits family have a great plan for a family vacation, swap houses with farm folk and spend time on the farm while they
experience city life. But Joshua finds something strange about this offer, strange and disturbing. For he has been vistied
by the ghost of his dead Grandfather who warns of Goblins.
But the small rual community of Nilbog seems quiet. But he can shake the stories of Goblins and if they trick you into
eating something that you will transform into a pool of green vegetable and eat you. But Josh's warn go unheeded and three
High School boys who follow the Waits family soon discover that the Goblins are real and that they are all in big trouble.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
First of all let me say "House Swaping"? Sounds more like an ABC reality show then something that would happen in
real life. I mean what kind of cheap Bastard would plan a vacation like that. What was he thinking "It's free".
Who is he "Al Bundy"? Next problem, the movie is called TROLL 2, not GOBLINS 1. Where were the Troll? There is no
Trolls in Troll 2. No connection to the first movie what so ever. Next major issue, if the "goblins" were vegetarians,
then why turn people into vegetables when they can grow their own! It would make more sense if they were flesh eaters. Now
finally, the last and biggest problem with "troll 2". The climax, the ending of the film leaves the impression that
Josh destroys all the Goblins, then the other shoe drops. He walks into the kitchen and finds Goblins eating his mother after
turning her into veggie matter. What the hell is up with that. THE NOOSE
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree, but that's not all! The picture quality sucks, the acting was sub-grade school and the dialog was so awful I felt
sorry for the actors who had to read them. All and all a complete waste of film and Charles Band should sue in order to force
them to change the title. THE NOOSE!
ON THE POSTIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
- SEEN IT, BEEN THERE, DONE THAT, MOVED ON! (Never again will we have to be subjected to this pile of puke ever again.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE(- MISSES):
- HOUSE SWAPING? (What kind of a stupid vacation do you call that?)
- VEGGIE MONSTERS (Here's a hint, it's easier to grow veggies then to trick people into turning into veggies.)
- LAME MONSTER EFFECTS (God, I don't know what the budget was, but they must have put most of it in their pockets.)
- STORY (Lame, lame, lame.)
- ACTING (Really bad acting.)
- DIALOG (Really bad dialog.)
- NO TROLLS (It should have been called GOBLINS or HOUSE SWAP.)
- OTHER SHOE ENDING (Just when you think all is well. The movie makers drop the other shoe in order to leave it open.)
AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If you liked the first movie, then avoid this one.)
