THE PLOT:
A village is terrorized by a cult of warriors who worshiped a minotaur and would sacrifice the people of the peaceful village
to the flesh eating creature that they condemned to a labyrinth. But one warrior has leaped into the labyrinth in order to
face the beast and kill it once and for all in order to find and rescue his lady love who has been condemned to death but
he is sure that she was able to survive in the blood soaked maze of murder.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
What's wrong with these people? These movie makers, they think they can be creative and change myth and classic cartoons to
suit their "vision". Where there vision is blurry and need glasses. If you want to be creative, then write something
new, you don't go around messing with classic Greek stories. The minotaur is part man and part bull. Which mean he walks on
two feet and has hands. What happened to his eyes? There was a flashback when the minotaur was born and he had eyes. Just
because something or someone goes blind from decades in total darkness doesn't mean his eyes fall out and where is his lips?
Is this Minotaur alive or some kind of Zombull? The acting and story works, but the whole minotaur thing truly destroys the
experience for me. One, fur on flesh, two walks up right and three has lips and eyes. The changes totally ruin this movie
and I feel anyone who knows the slightest bit of Greek myth will feel the same, it's quite obvious the makers knew nothing
of Greek Myth or of Minotaurs. So I give this awful piece of crap the NOOSE!
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I couldn't agree more and those villagers or should I say sheepagers who let themselves be led to the slaughter like that.
It's not even funny, I would prefer death then calmly walk to my demise at the hands of a man eating bull monster. I think
this is a pile of puke and a total waste of cinema. THE NOOSE!
ON THE POSTIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (Classic Greek story they screwed up big time.)
+ ACTING (There is some good acting in this.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE(- MISSES):
- NO EYES (What happened to his eyes? He had them when he was born, where did they go?)
- NO LIPS (Is this a minotaur or a Zombull?)
- FOUR LEGS (A minotaur is a biped not a quadruped.)
- PART HUMAN (And besides being born of a human, where would be the human traits of the Minotaur?)
AND FINALLY...
- SHEEPEOPLE (What's up with them giving up without a fight?)
