THE PLOT:
Deserters from the atomic wars hold out at a abandoned research lab where they were toying with the idea of a life form that
creates it's own amino acids removing the need to eat. But they ****ed something up for all they created is a freakin' Creepozoid
who is stalking them one by one in order to eat them.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
First, I don't recall them saying how much time has past since the nuclear war. Second, after the nukes fly that would be
it, no more. Everyone knows that a nuclear war will start and end in a matter of minutes. There would be per longed battles
or front lines to desert from. So the idea of deserters from the front line of a nuclear war doesn't make any kind of sense
no matter how you slice it. I mean, even "The Day After" got that right. Next, the atmosphere was like nothing,
we saw no devastated buildings, no destroyed cites, not even stock-footage of a nuclear bomb test. So we nothing of the world
they lived in. What was the point of creating an animal that don't need to eat, how will that help mankind even if they got
the bloody thing to work? So, what was the point? All of this and to make matters even worse the characters were as likable
and as interesting as dried unbuttered toast. I don't blame the cast, they did the best they could with what they had, I put
the blame on this on the director and the writer which happen to be the same creep David DeCoteau. Do some freakin' research
next time, jerk. I give this train wreck of a movie THE NOOSE!
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I couldn't agree more, so far we have reviewed two films written and directed by David DeCoteau and both ended up here in
the toxic waste dump. First we reviewed Leeches!(2003) and now this. If we find one more David DeCoteau that is as bad as
the last two or worst (if that's even possible) then he will be going in our list of worst directors of all time along with
Arch Hall, Sr., Ed Wood, Jr., and Nick Zedd to name a few. How can moronic idiot director and writers keep getting work when
my brother and I can get our foot in the door? Who is this guy ****ing anyway and how do we **** her? THE NOOSE as well.
ON THE POSTIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (There are some cool creatures in this movie.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE(- MISSES):
- NUCLEAR WAR DESERTERS (We can't even begin to say what's wrong with that in one sentence.)
- ATMOSPHERE (We never got to even peek in the post atomic world.)
- CHARACTERS (The characters are about as appealing and interesting as dry unbuttered toast.)
AND FINALLY...
- ENDING (The climax makes no sense and sucks the big time.)
