THE PLOT:
A daring daylight gold robbery, a group of murderous thugs escape into the mountains, and hides out in a ski lodge. The escape
plan is to lay low until the heats off and escape via a cave into Canada.
But what the murderous thieves fail to take into account the cave is the home of a strange creature, a strange creature
that abducts people and slowly drains them of blood.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Okay, let's see. Where to begin? Oh, how about the fact the movie is a staggering one and fifteen minutes and the bulk of
the movie is about these Gold thieves, these unlikable killers. Is this THE BEAST FROM HAUNTED CAVE or the GREAT GOLD HEIST?
Second the characters are nothing but hateful jerks even the Ski Lodge guy who sees a piece of ass instead of call the cops
on her. She's as guilty as the rest of them. Third, saying the effects are terrible is the understatement of the year.
The effects and creature effects are garbage. Lastly, what is the Beast from haunted cave, is it an alien, is it mutant,
what? Is it a frakin' vampire, what? Throw us a frakin' bone here. THE NOOSE is still too good for it!
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
Everything Zedd said is right on the money, the only thing I can really add to it is that I'm so happy I've seen it. So I
NEVER have to see it again. This is a perfect example of what happens when film makers don't even try, you can see it in
the half ass film quality, effects and story. If this is the quality of movies they make for the drive-in theater, perhaps
it's a good thing the drive-in died. These movies is what killed them. The teens looked up from the sex in the back seat
long enough to realize these movies sucked, BIG TIME. I too give it the NOOSE!!!!
ON THE POSTIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ BEEN THERE, DONE THAT, MOVED ON (It amazing me how crappers like this get put on DVD and BLUE MONKEY doesn't. Well I'm
happy to report I never have to see it again.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (+ MISSES):
- STORY (At 75 minutes long, why did they spend so much time on the gold robbery?)
- CREATURE EFFECTS (The effects sucked the big one.)
- CHARACTERS (None of the characters were worth anything.)
- DIALOG (I've seen better dialog written by Chimps.)
- WHAT IS THE BEAST (The lack of back story for the beast is sickening, not even local legend. You think there'd be somekind
of legend or story connected to a place called HAUNTED CAVE.)
- HAUNTED CAVE (They never called it Haunted cave.)
